Implementation of a high precision and accuracy safety and localization system for tracking elderly people with pathologies in indoor environments, composed of wearable devices, a sensor network and an IoT platform.
The creation of the system will involve the choice of technology, the development of algorithms and firmware that satisfies the following points:
- High precision and accuracy: the accuracy and precision of localization must be under one meter
- Voluntary and involuntary man down: detection of man down conditions on different modes, such as inclination and absence of movement and/or sudden falls
- High localization rate: obtain high localization rates (maximum a tens of seconds)
- Historicization of events: saving of all localization and safety events on the IoT platform
- API: HTTPS API implementation for exporting all localization and safety events to the IoT platform
- Total project cost: 700,289.60 Euros

Smart Track’s role
Within the INVICTUS Smart Track project it will deal with the development of the high precision and accuracy localization and safety system module, also developing specific integration APIs towards the IoT data aggregation platform
The system designed and developed thanks to INVICTUS will allow Smart Track to enter the healthcare market and allow a clear improvement in the quality of life of the elderly within retirement homes by exploiting the latest generation IoT radio technologies such as Ultra Wide Band.
